Works Well and Built-in Light Sensor is Great

I bought two of these digital transformers to replace two older mechanical ones that were destroyed in a fire. Being digital they offer more programming choices then the mechanical which basically allowed you to turn them on and off. If you bought the optional light sensor/photo eye for the mechanical then you could have them turn on at dusk and off at a fixed hour. (This one comes with a photo eye). The digital version allows for this also and also an Auto mode which turns on at dusk, and off at dawn. You can also set them to turn on at dusk for either 4, 6, 8, or 10 hours (though 2 hours would be nice also). What’s nice about the digital version is you can change different modes by turning the control switch but you don’t have to remove/insert any timing pins. I use them in Photo On Timed off mode, on at dusk, off at a given time. The thing I like best about these is that I can set the clocks on them more accurately then the mechanical which means I can get the two transformers to be in sync with each other to within a minute. I did have a problem with one, where the transformer turned off, even though the clock was still working. The documentation does not show or explain that there is a reset button on the back of the transformer which I hadn’t noticed. Pushing this reset button fixed the problem and it works perfectly again. I highly recommend this product.
