These seeds have been just great for sprouting. Each pack contains all the nutrional info and sprouting directions. Each type of seeds sprouted quite nicely — I’m having some of the best salads ever.

Good Value but Slightly Misleading

Much to my mother-in-law’s surprise, I have managed to turn my husband into a veggie eater over the past few years. We started with things we knew he could tolerate, like peppers, and branched out into whatever caught his eye at the grocery store. If you’ve ever bought sprouts at a grocery store, you’ll understand why – once he discovered he not only tolerated but LOVED sprouts – we opted to start growing them at home. They’re so much cheaper, we have access to a variety of types and they’re always available fresh, so long as we’re willing to rinse them daily.

This sampler has been an excellent way to try a variety of sprouts without committing to a huge quantity of any one kind. So far, we’ve had successful germination of all that we’ve tried, and – despite the cold, gray winter – enjoyed the fresh, summery taste of our bounty. I love that the seeds are Certified 100% Organic since you’re usually eating the whole thing. For those who wonder about origins, I had one packet with seeds from China (Mung Beans), one from Canada (Broccoli) and the remainder from the USA.

I am disappointed that although the title of the product states “10 Different Delicious Sprout Seeds” there are really only 8 different sprout seeds. There are 7 single varietal packages, listed in the title (Alfalfa, Mung Bean, Broccoli, Green Lentil, Clover, Buckwheat, and Radish), and three packets of mixes: Bean Salad, 3 Part Salad Mix and 5 Part Salad Mix. The Bean Salad includes Adzuki Beans along with a mix of the single varietals, and the 3 and 5 Part Mixes are just blends of the included varietals. Another reviewer had mentioned that there were mixes included, but I’d expected the mixes to have new types of seeds included, for a total of 10 different seeds, not just 10 total packets.

I do like that the packages include information on planting and harvesting, which is especially helpful for those new to sprouting. Resealable bags would have been a definite plus, since each packet contains enough seeds for multiple plantings, but sandwich-sized Ziploc bags work well to keep the seeds once opened.

Ultimately, I would recommend this product with some reservations, and I haven’t found a better sampler package for sprouts than this one, which is both organic and fairly priced. I am pleased with the quality of the seeds and will buy from this company again when we use up these.

The best way to get started
